Quality Assurance Lead/Manager 

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead/Manager to join our successful and forward thinking company. We are looking for someone who has experience within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for developing the quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems, updating and reviewing all (UKAS ISO9001:2015) requirements, including, but not limited to:

  • Development and maintenance of the Quality Management System and processes
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, and review and communicate the impact of Quality Management Systems
  • Create Work Procedures.
  • Provide guidance and review / comment on the preparation of deliverables such as Quality Plans, Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans
  • Identify, plan and conduct surveillance checks and audits to verify that management system and work processes are being performed correctly and provide training/implementation where necessary to ensure compliance. Ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs, and that evidence to demonstrate this is retained. Auditing will include supplier assessment audits
  • Ensure non-conformances of products and processes are properly managed, cause is properly identified, corrective and preventive actions are properly defined and implemented
  • Communicate directly with external customers to understand their product quality control requirements and ensure they are adhering to these processes.
An Example Of Your Day-to-day Tasks Include:
  • Implementation of all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System
  • Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
  • Report on the performance of the management system, and on opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
  • Identify and document testing risks in a project and mitigate them with the team
  • Review, implement and update company records
  • Introduce new Quality Control systems and procedures where appropriate
  • Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
  • Produce written reports to identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
  • Develop, implement and manage KPI’s for each area of responsibility
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous experience of Quality Assurance within a Manufacturing environment – 3+ years experience 
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of International Quality Standards and methods: ISO9001, ISO14001, LEAN Tool’s, FAIR’s I.S.I.R, PSW etc.
  • Knowledge and application of quality tools such as 8D, PFMEA, NPI would be advantageous
  • Experience in liaising with all levels within the company.
  • Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualifications – ie. HND, BTEC
  • Experience in External Audits from interested bodies.

Sales, Planning and Estimating Engineers
Due to an increased long term order book, we are currently recruiting for Sales, Planning and Estimating Engineers!.The candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of machining and manufacturing processes. Sales/Customer liaison experience an advantage but not essential.

Fully Skilled CNC Millers

Due to an increased long term order book, we are currently recruiting for Fully Skilled CNC Millers. Preferably with Heidenhain or Fanuc experience, to programme, set and operate various machining centres. Excellent rates of pay for the right candidates.
